STEME 2019

Health Education and Improvement Wales, in conjunction with Cardiff University’s School of Medicine and Swansea University Medical School, is hosting the 2019 Sharing Training Excellence in Medical Education (STEME) Conference as follows:

STEME Conference: Wednesday, 2nd and Thursday, 3rd October 2019 - Liberty Stadium, Swansea (SOLD OUT)

STEME+: Friday, 8th November 2019 - Neuadd Reichel, Bangor University (Places Available - click here to register) 

The theme for the events will be Learning and Working Together.

The events are open to the four categories of secondary care medical trainer requiring recognition by the GMC (i.e. Educational Supervisors; Named Clinical Supervisors; Lead Co-ordinators of undergraduate training at Local Education Providers (LEP); and Doctors responsible for overseeing undergraduate students’ educational progress for medical schools).

Live-Streaming

Don't worry if you didn't manage to get a place at the Swansea event.  The plenary sessions for each day will be live-streamed via HEIW’s YouTube channel, and the recordings will be made available online after the event.

The live streamed/recorded sessions will be: 

  • Free of charge
  • Recognised as CPD for Trainer Recognition
  • Certificated (4 hours of CPD per day towards the requirements for the formal recognition of trainers in Wales, for viewing and reflecting on the live-streamed/recorded sessions).

You can watch the sessions live from anywhere – you will just need a computer and internet connection.
